"I ran side by side with him without putting a mark on him. I was trying to put a mark on him but I couldn't catch him."

HayWire Racing Dropping Anchor -

Tacoma, Washington –

6-8-2009 – Haywire Racing, and driver “Terrible” Tim McDougald, are headed to Port Angeles Speedway with the #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves Toyota Camry for race #3 of the 2009 Limited Late Model Racing Series schedule on Saturday, June 13th.

The small family run team from Tacoma, Washington had great success at Port Angeles Speedway during the 2008 LLMRS season, grabbing a Trophy Dash win along with a Main Event win and barely missing a second Main Event win after “Terrible” Tim McDougald had to drive through the field not once, but twice in his bid for the repeat win, coming up only a couple laps short, finishing in second behind eventual LLMRS champion, John Boyatt.

“Terrible” Tim and his Haywire Racing team always look forward to their return to Port Angeles Speedway, where they are always counted among the favorites to win. “We always run good there,” said driver “Terrible” Tim. “PA is another low grip track. We do good on those for some reason. It takes the high dollar horsepower out of the mix and puts the race in the driver’s hands. It’s a real good equalizer and we seem to have a handle on it. I always look for PA on the schedule and then plan around that.”

The team has had a successful history at the little track on the Washington peninsula. “We’ve been going there for a lot of years,” said “Terrible” Tim. “We use to take my Street Stock there for the ‘Pepsi 100’ back in the day. We had some great runs back then, most of the time they were cut short due to mechanical problems. It seemed like it was always something. We’d run really good, then break. Once we grabbed that first win, it’s been game on ever since. We held the LLMRS track record there for a little while and we’ve grabbed a couple trophies there these last couple years. I know my team likes going there; we’ve even made decisions on what series we want to run based on who has that track on their schedule. We really like it there.”

With a car that is no stranger to the rough surface of Port Angeles Speedway and a driver that looks to return to victory lane, look for the #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves Toyota Camry and driver “Terrible” Tim McDougald to be a threat for the win as Haywire Racing plans to drop anchor in Port
Angeles, Washington on Saturday, June 13th, 2009.
