Haywire Racing Return To The Desert - |
Tacoma, Washington –4-28-2009 – HayWire Racing and driver “Terrible” Tim McDougald head back to the desert for this weekend’s LLMRS season kickoff at Ephrata Raceway Park, a track the #68 KMB Design / Hargis Engineers / Print-NW / Ringers Gloves Toyota Camry dominated last season. As the 2009 LLMRS season gets under way this weekend, the small team from Graham, Washington returns to the desert for the season opener and a track they believe they can win on any day. Looking to feed off the dominant stance they held there last season, “Terrible” Tim and his crew hope to start things off on a high note. “We have always run good there,” said driver “Terrible” Tim. “I love to go there and I always look forward to going back. After the way we ran there last year, I can’t wait to get back there.” The 2008 LLMRS season saw the HayWire Racing team win the season’s first Trophy Dash during the first visit to Ephrata Raceway Park and then pull off a clean sweep during the return visit later in the season setting fast time, winning the Trophy Dash, Heat Race and Main Event. “I still can’t believe we pulled that off,” said “Terrible” Tim. “It was such a great run. My guys were on the money all night. I think we would have contended for that first Main Event in the opener had we not had mechanical problems. My Dad has always been on the setup there and my guys, Tommy, Donny and whole gang, they just never stop working. I just can’t tell you how much I love that place.” |
