Rasmussen Grabs Top-5 In Evergreen Season Opener -

Graham, Wa. –

4-12-08 – The #92 HayWire Motorsports RPM Sales & Service / Ringers Gloves / Old West Graphics / KMB Design Groups / Mauritsen Enterprises Pontiac Grand Prix grabbed the team’s first top-5 of the year in the Evergreen Speedway season opener April 12th.

Kicking off the 2008 racing season for HayWire Motorsports, driver of the #92 car; Tommy Rasmussen, started deep in the 18 car field after struggling early on through practice and qualifying. Still learning this new car, the team had their hands full making adjustments trying to find the feel Rasmussen was looking for.

Once the main event started it was all in the driver’s hands as Rasmussen found himself staring at the tail end of the large field. At the green flag he began patiently moving forward, biding his time and staying out of trouble. On a night where attrition would play a large factor Rasmussen found himself in the right spot when a large incident unfolded in turn 1 with only 3 laps left moving the #92 car into the top 5. “We set out to get a top-5, I said that was my goal.” Said driver Tommy Rasmussen, “At that point, there was no way I was giving it up!”

Rasmussen would go home with his head held high after taking the checkered flag in the 5th spot, grabbing the team’s first top-5 of the 2008 racing season and setting the bar for the team.

Look for the #92 HayWire Motorsports RPM Sales & Service / Ringers Gloves / Old West Graphics / KMB Design Groups / Mauritsen Enterprises Pontiac Grand Prix to continue this strong showing throughout the 2008 season.
