HWR Returns To Port

Graham, Wa. –

9-8-07 – The #68 HayWire Racing, Mauritsen Enterprises stock car returns to Port Angeles Speedway as they look to conclude their season on the Limited Late Model Racing Series schedule.

Returning to a track that left them with a serious case of heartache, the HayWire Racing crew and Driver Tim McDougald look for a little redemption from the new racing surface at Port Angeles Speedway. “Last time we were there,” said Tim McDougald “we laid down the new track record and we were fastest in practice. But we broke the driveshaft in the Dash. It was a real gut wrencher for me and my guys. We were looking for something special and it just didn’t happen.”

After the mechanical failure removed the team from competition after just 3 laps of racing the HayWire Racing team returns to the track that has been the source of many let-downs for the final race of the season. With a mathematical shot at finishing in the top-5 for the championship standings, the team is focused on the task at hand. “We know what we have to do, and we know what it will take.” Said Tim McDougald “Now all we need is a little luck. I know the car will be there, I just have to go out there and do my job, race smart, and hopefully everything works itself out. Sure would be nice to win the season finale though!”

Look for the #68 HayWire Racing, Mauritsen Enterprises stock car to make one last charge in the championship standings, as well as one last run at the trophy, for the final race in the inaugural season of the Limited Late Model Racing Series.
